Description

Why choose this certification?

Choose DP-900 if you are beginning to work with data in the cloud and want to understand how core data concepts map to Microsoft Azure services. It provides a useful base for later database, data engineering or analytics learning.

What you will work on

  • Core data concepts and workload types
  • Relational data considerations on Azure
  • Non-relational data considerations on Azure
  • Analytics workloads and supporting services

Is it right for you?

This is a strong choice if your interests include data architecture, analytics or cloud services. Microsoft expects familiarity with relational and non-relational data and with transactional and analytical workloads, but the certification is explicitly beginner level.

How to prepare

Complete the relevant Microsoft Learn material, use the practice assessment to identify gaps and explore the exam sandbox before the scheduled exam window.
